A message from FSME’s Executive Director

Focusing on the future, S.T.E.M. education

Dear FSME Community,

I am thrilled to be joining the Foundation for Science and Mathematics Education (FSME) and look forward to building on existing relationships and cultivating new ones. I have 10 years of experience in education administration, leadership, teaching, development, and fundraising having had the distinct opportunity to lead corporate and community giving, marketing, public relations, fundraising events, and grant writing.

As the Executive Director of FSME, I will have the opportunity to work with a community of compassionate and dedicated Board of Directors, donors, committee members, organizations, staff, and volunteers. This community values the mission of securing the support to provide opportunities to every student at the Science and Mathematics High School.

The approach at the Foundation of Science and Mathematics is genuinely one of partnership, and this is apparent in every aspect: from the capital campaign, annual donations, to the support of the student internships and STEM programs.

Currently, the foundation is focused on securing support to ensure the staff and students of the Science and Mathematics High School have all the tools necessary to complete distance teaching and learning during the pandemic successfully.  Other funding focus areas for the foundation for the 2020-2021 school year include: STEM programs, student internships, Girls in STEM, special education programs, student support services, student research programs, and Career and Technical Education projects.

Thank you so much for your support!

Andrea Williams
