The Grand Prize winning short film, “Like a Ship Without a Sail,” received a $5,000 film and media equipment grant from the Film Prize Foundation, $1,000 to the school to be used to celebrate the students’ achievement, and $1,000 to the Film Prize teacher sponsor of the winning film, Mr. E’Jaaz Mason. Over 30 students and 15 adults helped in the making of this film from acting, directing, editing, hair & makeup, lighting, camera work, etc. We are the first team outside of the Shreveport-Bossier area to ever win the Grand Prize. Watch the trailer here!
